Usage

This template is put at the top of a biographical article to explain to readers which part of a Korean person's name is the family name. If desired, the person's generation name can also be stated. The template will automatically link to the article (if one exists) of the specified family name. For example,

{{Korean name|Kim}}

will display

Metung yang lagyung Koreanu ni; Kim ya'y apelyidu.

If the family name article does not follow the "NAME (Korean surname)" naming convention, a link can be created manually, e.g.

{{Korean name|[[Won (surname)|Won]]}}

will display

Metung yang lagyung Koreanu ni; Won ya'y apelyidu.

If the surname is stage or pen name, e.g.

{{Korean name|Lee|Han}}

will display

Metung yang lagyung Koreanu ni; Lee ya'y apelyidu.
